Nutritional IV Therapy

What Is Nutritional IV Therapy?

Injectable forms of nutrients are a very efficient way to quickly correct national deficiencies and insufficiencies.  Studies show that many nutrients such as magnesium are not as efficiently absorbed by the body when taken orally.  Nutritional IV therapy allows nutrients to go directly into the blood stream.  Many conditions have been greatly improved by regular IV therapy treatment.  In order to overcome some deficiencies or treat severe symptoms injectable forms of nutrients may be the best initial route to use.

We use IV therapy protocols that have shown to be safe, have minimal side effects and show effectiveness based on researched procedures.

Some of the Conditions Often Treated With Nutritional IV Therapy:

  • Acute upper respiratory tract infections (colds)
  • Adrenal fatigue
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia
  • Hypertension
  • Asthma
  • Cardiovascular disease

Benefits of Intravenous Nutrition:

  • Customized based on your condition and specific needs
  • Do not have to rely on absorption through the intestinal tract
  • Correct nutritional deficiencies
  • Instant beneficial effects

Common Nutrients Offered:

  • Myers’ Cocktail
    • The Myers' cocktail was established by John Myers, M.D., a physician from Baltimore, Maryland. The formula for the Myers' cocktail includes vitamin B12, vitamin B6, vitamin B5, vitamin B complex and vitamin C, magnesium and calcium.
  • IV Glutathione
    • This is a principal amino acid based detoxifying agent in our liver.  This nutrient aids in our detoxification pathways.
  • IV Vitamin C
    • This is an effective way to treat infectious including colds and flus.  In studies, IV vitamin C has been shown to kill viruses, bacteria, and cancer cells.
  • Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin)
    • This is the activated form of vitamin B12 which is better absorbed by the body and assists in detoxification and helps to treat inflammation.
    • Some individuals are impaired in their ability to activate their B vitamins and taking the activated form helps to ensure the effectiveness of the vitamin replenishment.
  • Folic Acid (5-Methyltetrahydrofolate)
    • This is the activated form of folic acid which is better absorbed by the body and assists in detoxification and helps to treat inflammation.
    • Some individuals are impaired in their ability to activate their B vitamins and taking the activated form helps to ensure the effectiveness of the vitamin replenishment.
  • Vitamin B5
    • Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) plays a role in the breakdown of fats and carbohydrates for energy.  Vitamin B5 is critical in the production of red blood cells, as well as sex and stress-related hormones produced in the adrenal glands (the small glands that sit on top of the kidneys). This vitamin is also important in maintaining a healthy digestive tract and helps the body use other vitamins, mostly B2 (riboflavin).
  • Vitamin B6
    • Like vitamin B5, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) also plays a role in the breakdown of fats and carbohydrates for energy.  Vitamin B6 helps the body make several neurotransmitters which are substances that carry signals from one nerve cell to another in our bodies. This vitamin is needed for normal brain development and function, and helps the body make the hormones serotonin and norepinephrine, which influence mood, and melatonin.  Vitamin B6 also helps to control inflammation.
  • Methionine
    • Methionine helps the body process and to eliminate fat. This essential amino acid is required to produce cysteine and taurine, which help eliminate toxins in the liver.   It also helps to build muscle and also promotes cardiovascular health.
  • Inositol
    • Inositol assists in the transport of fat throughout your body and it also aids the nerve cells in your brain. Inositol is also thought to have enhanced function when administered with choline.
  • Choline
    • Choline functions in the structure of cell membranes (outer surface), protects our livers from accumulating fat and is the precursor molecule for the critical neurotransmitter (brain chemical) acetylcholine. In studies choline has been shown to protect the liver from certain types of damage, and can help reverse damage that has already occurred. Also, it may help lower cholesterol and decrease inflammation.
  • Chromium
    • Chromium supplementation has been thought to enhance the actions of insulin in putting glucose (blood sugar) into our body’s cells.  This enhances our body’s ability to metabolize blood sugar.
  • L-Carnitine
    • L-Carnitine is an agent that helps the body turn fat into energy. Your body makes it in the liver and kidneys and stores it in the skeletal muscles, heart, brain, and sperm.  In studies L-carnitine has shown to be of benefit in weight loss, muscle recovery, energy production and cardiovascular disease.
  • Many other nutrients are available.
